I have a problem with the work bench

I'm on the Story mode and when I want to craft something on the work bench on the crafting menu there aren't all the things. Also I cannot craft lot of things........Why could that happen? Someone can help me?

In Wintermute story mode, the player needs to find books to "unlock" certain crafting recipes.

Specifically:
In episode 1, the player can find Basics of Survival Books which give tasks to complete.
In episode 2, the player can find Survival School Books which give tasks to complete.
In episode 3, the player can find Tall Tales Books which give tasks to complete.

(Note: not all tasks will result in gaining crafting recipes... some just provide some valuable items and some others just provide experience.  For more explicit detail you can follow the links to the Fandom wiki pages.  If you'd rather avoid spoilers... then don't follow the links to wiki pages)
