Where to next?

Here is my survival story with the question at the end. Feel free to discuss

I’m on day 48 and have lived most of my time on PV and TWM but started in Pv.
I explored ML while looking for a rifle but didn’t take too much. I then went through TWM on my way to Ash Canyon but retreated back to TWM because no matter how bad it was it seemed better. After getting attacked by a moose and nearly running out of food I left almost everything behind (skins, guts, a rifle, bullets, ect.) and went back to PV. On my way back I was stomped  by another moose but made it to the rope. I had three sets of broken ribs and couldn’t climb down the rope so I had to walk/fall down the edge of the cliff. I survived with lots of injuries and have been living in PV since.

I eventually want to go back to TWM to retrieve my gear but for now I am in PV. I’m not really sure where to go now. PV has horrible weather and I’ve kind of exhausted the exploration of it.  I have plenty of food and resources.

where should I go for my big 50th that doesn’t require climbing a rope?

It was going to be TMW or ash canyon but thats out of the picture with my broken ribs.

also where should I go from there? Is there somewhere epic that would make it worth it to go for 100 days or should I just start a new save on a new map?

Coastal highway has a lot of loot but if you’re playing on stalker there’s wolves everywhere but still a great spot. DP is great if you have weapons because wolves can spawn close to the path to the lighthouse and (again) if your on stalker the bear is always there so (again) if you have the weapons and the ammunition he can be some real fine dining definitely late game though and it’s a big hike from pleasant to desolation especially with the abundance of wildlife between them. ML is a great spot for rifles eg. the lookout tower, trappers cabin, the box carts. PV is a good spot as well. Good luck

I'm going to guess you're in Stalker, I know that in my run now I spawned in Broken Railroad, and caught an extremely lucky break with a ton of great clothing at the Hunters Lodge, and the Maintenance Shed. I then of course went to The Muskeg, straight to the Spence Homestead. More clothing, and a rifle. A ton of food, and firewood too. It was one of the best starts you could EVER get. Now on day 80ish, and have supplies to last hundreds of days. Still have to go to Milton, HRV, Coastal Highway, and Decolation Point.

Go and enjoy your 50 th day in the lake overlook ML. Make som coffe and enjoy the lake sight.🤠

Or the depressing one: Go to the ravine and go out the broken track. Stare down, way down.😂

By far my favorite post here. Thanks!
I decided to head to Desolate point with plans of going back to the ravine later.

also to clarify for everyone I’m playing in Voyager but I like to take a lot of chances. Going to try stalker next.

When you hit Desolation Point, check out the Riken a boat in the middle of the frozen bay.  There’s a forge there, and you might find a hammer nearby.  If not, look in the cannery.  Check the peg board near the fire barrel for hanging tools.  Check all tubes for stray loot.  There is a lot of hidden stuff in that place.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve only been in Desolation Point for brief moments and don’t know it well. I’m a bit concerned because  I haven’t had a rifle since I was in TWM (left it by mistake) and haven’t come across one. All I have is a bow and a revolver. The one time I was in Desolation Point I immediately got killed be a wolf.

On Voyageur, there is often a rifle in the lighthouse.  I've found on on the shelf above the bed before.  Another location is in Scruffy's cave, but there will be a wolf you'll encounter inside the cave.  There is usually a bow and a couple of arrows at Katy's Secluded Corner.  I'm not going to try to give directions to either of those places though because I'm very poor at giving directions in general and I don't want to mess you up.

Oops, almost forgot... there is also a possible spawn of a rifle inside the Hibernia plant.  HInt:  You need to break some crates to spot it.

ETA:  I also wanted to add... these are all possible spawns... not guaranteed.

There should be a rifle in DP.  It’s in a cave and the entrance is at the far end of the road, down under the bridge near the waterfall.  Careful tho!  Fluffy the rabid wolf lives in there and it can be tricky as fuck to kill him.  There are also dead deer in there.  A torch or flare should keep him at bay if you just want to get in, get the loot, and get out.  Otherwise you’re looking at a struggle.

I’m genuinely not sure if you’re joking or not. 🤣🤣🤣
