Crampons only provide Sure Footing  benefit if equipped in the outer accessory slot.   Seems a bug the game will even allow Crampons to be equipped in inner accessory slot.

Crampons should work more like Rabbit Hat where Crampons can only be equipped in outer accessory slot. I updated the fandom wiki with this info, but hope Hinterland decides to fix this minor design flaw in the future.

Also regarding inner vs outer, would be great if the player could see an indication  in the clothing screen which slot is inner and which is outer.
