Still got attacked by a Bear in Pilgrim Mode

Every time I run towards a bear, it runs away. But if I try to shoot it with the hunting rifle, it runs right up to me and attacks me! Must of made the bear angry or something. Anyone know if this is normal for Pilgrim Mode? Or is it indeed a bug? I'm currently playing the latest version. v.200.

I don't see anything wrong with a bear attacking the person who shot him, even on Pilgrim. But it may still be unintentional...

In Pilgrim, it's set that wildlife doesn't attack you unless you attack it. So if you don't kill a wolf right away the wolf will attack. If you don't kill the bear (which need 2 or 3 shots to the head to kill) the bear will eat you for breakfast/lunch/dinner

I don't agree with the wolves attacking cause every time I try to shoot them, they won't attack me. Instead they just run away. Only the bears will attack if I don't kill them right away, not the wolves....

I think bear AI is already perfected. Shot one and it attack because its health still high, but when shot to 3 shot they run because they almost dead, just like wolf. And i dont think that instinct is absolutely true to every bear.

this is false. we're bear hunters. in my years of hunting no bear would attack if it was shot, bear's instinct is to run away.

No, a bear's instinct would be to be hibernating in the midst of winter... And a wolf's or a bear's instinct would also not be to attack humans on sight like they do in Voyageur or Stalker. But then the instincts of the wildlife have been altered by the geomagnetic event. And since the bear's instinct has been changed, it now makes perfect sense it will attack you if you provoke it.
