Avril
1. Corned beef 2. Canned Tuna 3. Canned rice pudding 4. Canned Vienna sausage 5. Canned baby corn 6. Canned spaghetti in tomato sauce 7. Canned cheeseburger (google it) - a rare treat 8. Whipped cream spray - perfect to put on hot chocolate 9. Instant ramen (needs water) 10. Boullion cubes (needs water) - basically pocket soup 11. Oats (needs water) 12. Whey protein powder (needs water) 13. Powdered mashed potatoes (needs water) 14. Electrolyte replacement/hydration tablets (needs water) - makes you hydrated for a longer period 15. Hot chocolate powder (needs water) 16. Mac and cheese (needs water) 17. Wheat flour (add water for sour dough starter, let sit in room temperature for 24 hours) - essential for baking bread 18. Sugary breakfast cereals 19. Raisins 20. Peanuts 21. Popcorn kernels 22. Oreo style sandwich cookie 23. Powdered coffee creamer (to put in coffee or tea) - for some extra calories 24. Sauerkraut (glass jar) 25. Black olives (glass jar) 26. Pickled eggs (glass jar) - the glass jar is perfect for the sour dough starter or to put a tea light in if the ever add tea lights. 27. Whiskey (in glass bottle) 28. Beer (in glass bottle) 29. Wine bottle (glass) - getting drunk will heal you cabin fever for as long as your drunk. The hangover will make it worse + you'll be dehydrated and your overall condition will be lowered. When drunk the player don't feel cold, making him/her vulnerable to frost bit. Also, the glass bottles can be used as candlesticks if candles are ever added. 30. Intestines (heart, liver, kidney) and bone marrow - can be harvested with increased carcass harvesting skill. It would also be cool if you could add a meat grinder to make sausage with casings made of gut. Also, why isn't "Master chef" a feat? Cook 1000 meals and start with a level 3 cooking skill. Ok, bye. flakeinator
I do wonder why there is a cannery in the game and yet not tons of canned fish and other types of food. You would think that there would be more canned animals in case of emergency needs. I do agree that there should be a cooking feature in the game too. I wish that food items could be combined to create more of a "dish" with added benefits. Maybe combine the mushrooms with some meat and use coffee as a dry rub?
Derek0311
I like the glass bottle introduction. That would open a new avenue of craft able items into the game. Impoverished cutting tools and arrowheads etc.

Valuable Hunting Knife
A new food addition that I would like to see, that I think would both fit with and add to the current game mechanics, would be something like rice, porridge or pasta. A large, bulky bag, quite rare, that offers fairly low calories to weight ratio, and has to be prepared over a fire and can't be stored or taken with you (has to be eaten hot).
