Hello from the Pacific Northwest of the United States!

I don't know how much I'll contribute here, but I thought I'd express my appreciation to the designers of the Long Dark.

I've enjoyed playing video games off and on over the years, but I'm a veteran, and I've becoming increasingly disenchanted with the levels of violence. I can't abide first person shooters, and there's lots of killing in other games.

I love the Long Dark though. It's funny that it's not TOO far off from my real life. I live in the mountains, heat my house with wood, hike, backpack, track animals and hunt. I think I have one of every gear item in The Long Dark and one day this winter when I'm super bored, I'll have to arrange it all on the floor of my office and take a picture....

I appreciate the game. I tend to play more during the winter. It's been an incredible value, considering the hours I've played and the new content that keeps being added.
