I only take a drink when my game is paused. I try not to drink anything when I'm at my computer(not really because I do it all the time :D) because I'm a klutz and nervous about spilling on my keyboard. Also only when paused because there was one incident where I took a drink while walking, this wolf scared me and I choked on my soda causing it to come out of my nose, almost spilling it everywhere. :D 

I survived by the way.. Had just enough time to set my drink down, ignore the burning hell in my nose from my soda and take the wolf down lol

TLD is one of the better games to drink with, you actually have time to do it :D. I like to sip on brandy / rose hip tea…

  • During that annoying little bug that makes harvesting a plant take 4x longer.
  • When dropping and relighting a torch.
  • When waving off a wolf with a rock.
  • Anytime if the weather is calm enough.
  • Just strolling around for sticks.
  • Just chug it instead of passing time while warming up by a fire.

But I think my four favorite times to drink are…

  • Every time Will complains about being thirsty.
  • Every time Will complains about being hungry.
  • Every time Will complains about being cold.
  • Every time Will complains about being tired.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a backup of your save file when commencing a drunk TLD session.
