Game loosing Gamepad settings

Hi, Im recently having an issue with having to reset the gamepad setting everytime I open the game.

Im playing from steamlink and steam controller. After launching the game i cannot navigate the menus using the controller. Steam button and steam menus work fine.

After resetting the gamepad in game option on and off from the keyboard on the computer the controller work again.

This issue started some months ago. Maybe May or June.

Any ideas how to fix it? Really annoying since this is the game i most enjoy playing from steamlink.
