I have often complain in these comments how building interiors are far to dark, in the middle of the day, and that I can't see anything.

To make up for that HTL produce the most brilliant cosy rooms when lit by the fire.

Every time I light the fire in this cabin I think it is wonderful. I feel warm, safe, and all I need is a bottle of wine and a woman with whom to share it.

Bleak Inlet, Cannery Workers Residences.

On Voyager it has a bear that walks past every now and again, to give you a mountain of meat and a bearskin for a coat or bedroll.  It has a fishing hut too.  It is a good place for sharpening your axes and knives.  Wood is a bit scarce, but not a big problem.
