Wait, I found a Distress Pistol in PV, at the plane crash. Can I use it instead of going all the way to Timberwolf Mountain?

You can.

It probably isn't intended by Hinterland...and the odds of you doing a regular Summit Run as fast a a P.V. run are slim.

This is exaclty what this thread is about.
We now could finish it under 9h.

With TWM the record was little under 15h as far as I remember.

We already have a few threads about the "old" route

oh it is closed now? I just stopped playing yesterday at the farmhouse with 4 stims.

I first tried the new challenge (Deadman) but I have to do a lot of research before I can start this one.

There are two new areas to me to explore

This one was 5 stims, I really like the route I finally found but well its over now.

BTW the previous one (the 9:01) was with 6 stims and sub - optimal routing heh

I also did a no stim 9:49 run (was wondering if this might be more fair since with stims its so much luck dependend). But then you need luck for coffee so it does not solve the issue...

Also trying to go for the Deadman challange (no speedrun though lol ) I managed to visit Broken Railroad so far and found an improvised hatchet and a hacksaw, no luck with the hammer so no forging for me. But I found 1 stim (!) (thought those were disabled in this challange ). Lets see how it goes.
