El-ahrairah
As soon as I got the game a couple years ago, I went right into survival mode, and I have never played the story. My sister has been obsessed with story mode, and has never touched survival. I was thinking about starting story mode today. Will I be bored? I’m more into the sandbox and trying to survive as long as I can while making my own objectives.
ManicManiac
@El-ahrairah (Nice Watership Down reference by the way) I think you might find that the story is really interesting. You still are tasked with survival while you are experiencing the story unfolding, granted it's not as harsh as the more advanced survival difficulties. However, the story mode does come with three flavors of difficulties for those who want a little more kick in their story mode. I hope you try it out and I hope you enjoy. Lohaan
It's not Survival, so you can't approach it the same way....but getting more intimate with the characters is one of the biggest rewards of Wintermute. You have to play it...

JMK
I played story mode first, thinking is was more or less a tutorial, had no idea what I was doing and froze to death 200 m from the initial plane crash lol. The story mode is definatly worth trying, it is a well build story.
Hilayla
I play both. I play survival more so when I do play a story I often forget about the objective because I'm running around, doing my thing like it is survival. Then I see a character or difference and remember, "Oh yeah, I have goals here!"
