The rule with bear shot in DLP (defense of life or property) in the real world is that you EMPTY YOUR MAGAZINE INTO THEM. Particularly brown bears. I don't think these ones need all ten, but certainly you don't stop till he's down. If the devs keep tweaking the bears, they may well have one that seems dead but isn't. This has happened many times over the years. They're incredibly tough animals esp. when their blood is up. There are accounts of griz killing men after having their entire hearts blown out by soft point magnums. Black bear usually aren't aggressive, but this is all post-EMP or whatever so the wildlife is all crazy. The bear should be hibernating.
