Lantern light shine alignment (Found in v.03)

Not sure if it’s a bug, so I place it in "Playtest Feedback"

I was wandering around with my new favorite toy by night, the lantern, on Mystery Lake when I realized that the alignment of the light shine does not behave correct in my optinion. Turning left brings more light. Turning right brings more black.

I haven’t figured out what exactly it is. In my opinion it has something to do with the mouse movement.

I kindle the lantern and walk straight forward (w key). Also with left/right-keys (a/d) the shine is correct. But when I turned (mouse movement) the shine won’t follow correctly.

First impression: On land the light follow the mouse movement correctly / reflect it correctly.

I have made a video. Maybe that helps to understand the problem a bit better. What is the best way to submit it (videos in general)?

Re: submitting video -- not sure actually! Maybe you could stick it on YouTube but with permissions set up so that nobody but us can see it?

Based on your response, I suspect this is an issue with how the lake surface "takes" light. We also played around with some of the light settings for the Lantern and Flare recently to try to get a slightly different look (which we abandoned) so this might be related to that somewhat. We'll look into it for v.04.

Ok -- this should give us what we need to fix it. I suspect in changing some of the lighting settings, we found a combination that isn't compatible with what we're using on the lake surface. We'll get it fixed.

For now, the workaround is walk straight across the lake at night, or stay off it. :)

I found the solution:

YouTube alows you to set your videos private, which means only people with a specified e-mail have access to the video. Sound great, right? Maybe we can try it first with some less sensitive material.

Which e-mail(s) should I add?
