ArrayKnight
I wonder if it would interest anybody else if there a sliding mechanic. Say you're standing at the top of a steep snowy hill, you press forward and run (shift), instead of running down, you slide on your butt. This could have a pro (conserve energy, speedy get away) and a con (wears out your pants faster).
Hinterland Raphael van Lierop Posted June 15, 2014 Hinterland Share Posted June 15, 2014 I could see this being pretty interesting, although the balancing factor would have to be more risky than wearing our your pants. Increased chance of injury (sprain, break, etc.), reduction of directional control, etc.Movement stuff like this can be really tricky to get right, but it's a cool idea. Eventually I'd like to get some more traversal stuff in, like proper climbing, so this could become part of a bigger system like that, down the road.
