Steam night achievements awarded when they shouldn't

To my surprise, I received the Steam achievements for spending one and respectively three consecutive nights outside.

Since I didn't survive anything beyond a day and a half or so, I assume it is in error. Maybe because I left the game on pause for a couple of hours while doing other stuff?

(If relevant, I use a Win 7 system)
