Mapping Timberwolf Mountain Region

When I play TLD my self-imposed challenge is to fully map the regions.  In TWM I have had difficulty with two areas where I have not been able to access and map two of the black patches.

The areas to which I refer are to the left of the summit wing, and below and left of the triple-entrance cave/shelter.  Has anyone mapped these areas, or are they inaccessible?  (There is another smaller black patch in the centre, on the left side of the peak, I haven't tried to clear that yet.  I forgot to map the summit cave too.)

You can easily goat down from the summit to the engine cave on the left side. I even did it with the bugged sprain system and only got a sprain on the very last step towards even terrain. The black patch might have been a bit to the right of my route though. Not sure

When at the plane and looking towards the rope go left between the peaks. You're then facing towards the left side of the map and can climb down the mountain

Yesterday I goated down from near the wing to left of the cave,  using my charcoal a few times on the way down but it made little or no difference to the map.  I'll have another try, now that sprains has been tidied up a bit.  I need to map that small black patch and summit cave.

Maybe try to go further right instead of straight down. There might be multiple ways there. But I don't know. For example when climbing down directly from the plane there are several routes and locations you can end up at

I went back up and tried again.

I had made a wrong assumption.  It was much easier than I thought, although I still have a bit of a black patch there.

That other black area, south of the three-entrance cave/shelter is a puzzler.  I tried to map it yesterday and couldn't.  Anyone mapped that?

Happened to be on the mountain so I went to those areas that are dark on your map.

The first is easy enough.

The other area is around the left side of the rope climb that leads up to Secluded Shelf.

This is the top of the Three Way Cave.

Cross over and this fallen tree is the area.

Ice Hole,

Thanks for that information.  I shall try and map that patch when I next return to TWM.

. . . . .

I became impatient, found an old backup save,  followed your mountain guide and mapped the area.

Thanks for your help.

When you posted your mountain guide I had left TWM so I used a backup of a save to try mapping that area.  The conditions were good and I was able to follow your guide and map the area.  Without your guide I'd have never managed.

After my trip out of the region I returned to map that area on my 960 day Voyager game.  Having done it once, I assumed that it would be easy. It was not easy.  The weather was not good, but not bad.  There was light snow falling and the distant mountains could barely be seen.   I had considerable difficulty getting to that tree to draw the map.  After much difficulty I referred back to your scenic images but they didn't help as much as expected.  Eventually I got there, after a few attempts when I ended up getting  lost wandering all over t.he place.

I think that completely mapping the area shown in your map, (without your guide),  above would make a superb challenge for experience players.   Being in the Timber Wold Mountain massif involves many varied problems apart from mapping.
