Yeah, most likely a bug, but Raph says the team is working the issue(s).  I kind of find the pain mechanic a little odd... oh I mean it makes sense "treat pain with pain meds" intuitive and I like it.  Their representation of pain is some blurry edges and a neat sound dampening effect - and I like that too.  However, now I find that the pain part is not all that bad and I find myself option to just let it pass.  So now I have no use for rose hips and painkillers... Treating the pain will still not allow you to resume your normal physical activity... and I am far to stingy with cloth to waste a bandage on anything other that a bleeding wound.

This is not a complaint... Just an observation.  I used to always make sure I had pain meds on me for sprains... now I don't carry any :D  Heck I don't even bother to pick it up.
I just keep an extra bandage on me in case I get a bad sprain and I really need to run.

I hear you.  I'd hate to see them remove the option to sleep away sprains and pain though since it is quite possible to be caught in a position where you just don't have any painkillers or bandages or cloth.  I think that painkillers and bandages should lessen the effects with the notation of "sprain treated" rather than the current "sprain healed" and then it should take an additional 4 hours of sleep to heal the injury.  If you were unable to treat it first with painkillers or bandages, you would have to "suffer" the full-strength effects until you reached a place ot sleep and it should require 6 hours of sleep to cure an untreated sprain (as opposed to 4 hours to cure a treated one).  Additionally, the pain should never outlast the injury itself.

@UpUpAway95
Not to worry, the affliction description points out that the affliction will heal naturally (with rest), so I don't think there is any danger of them being a permanent affliction if left untreated.  You can even naturally recover from food-poisoning if you can just manage to live something like 18 hours after infection (that is if your condition was in good shape when you started).  There's only two afflictions that MUST be treated as far as I know...

RNG is being very cruel to me... I've searched the major locations in 5 regions, I have a satchel full of rounds... no revolver.  I'm presently in on a death march to the top of Timberwolf.  The route I opted for: I spawned in Hushed River Valley and passed though Milton, Forlorn Muskeg, Mystery Lake, Ravine, Costal Highway (current location).  Next I'm off to Pleasant Valley before trying for the summit.  I would have thought I would have found a Revolver by now.  :D

I suppose that's what random means though... maybe you'll find it, maybe you won't.  Good news is I have all the gear I need to keep drifting.

I can't even put into words how much I love this game...  :)

You are being more than a little melodramatic.

Please don't say or accuse me of that. Thank you.

I wouldn't accuse you of anything, just making an observation based on behaviors I witness.  I realize you are in a fragile state right now and did not wish to exacerbate your condition.  I was only trying to point out that you might be over reacting to (in the grand scheme of life) a relatively small problem.  I am encouraging patience, because what you are having anxiety about is being worked on.

Hang in there, it's going to be okay :)

I don't get what you are trying to say right now... "my condition"? I am not over reacting, this IS how I react. To me how I am is normal, how is this not normal? I am VERY patient I have always been for and not against TLD and Hinterland. The only time I got hurt is well having my Game crashed after the Update, and being called a Spammer, and then attacked by others sure didn't help. But other than that I was only giving Feedback, I was not being what you said I was.

You think this is a small problem, but to someone like me every little change in routine can equal melt down. I have to have routine in my life, I do not cope with changes too well.

I have not behaved bad at all, I have just been very open and honest with my feelings.

TLD Game is like my best friend, so having it not work for that day there was SO hard. That should prove I LOVE this Game! I have NEVER hated on the Team, Raph, this Game, the Forums! even though I can get mad... because I am on the Spectrum and I have Bi Polar.

I believe you... and in my option you are reacting disproportionally to the severity of the issue.
Heck, you are even doing it right now.  :)

Are you picking on me right now??? Because I don't know how to take this? It's really hard for me to understand if you are being nice or bad? I am at a loss, confused, but also hurt right now.

Not al all... It's unfortunate that you feel persecuted, it certainly wasn't my intention.  Unfortunately I can't control how you perceive things.  I really wish you would stop being hostile towards me.  I've only ever tried to be a voice of reason since I started posting again.  I hope you feel better soon, I wish you all the best.  :)

Umm... you are being hostile to me? If I recall you were one of the ones who attacked me in my Thread that got Locked. I honestly do not think you are being nice right now. I am sorry you do not understand that people like me exist, those on the Spectrum with Bi Polar. We have feelings, and we have our own way with handling things, and I am sorry you think I am whatever you said "melodramatic" and all these large flowery words.

You attacked my character and you expect me to be happy about that?

This needs to stop.

This Topic is being derailed because you called me an actress.

There is a thread naming locations where others have found it.  Perhaps try there?

While I'm all in favour of people doing that for their games, it's not something I do for mine.

I'm perfectly happy just continuing to look around until I find one. :)

:D I'm not attacking anyone.
I didn't call you any names nor did I ever attack your character as a person, it seems you are twisting my words now.
As I said I never intended to exacerbate your condition, but I'm not going to pretend I agree with you just because you are upset.

I agree this has gotten pretty derailed, if you like we can discuss things more someplace else.  Again I regret that you feel the way you do... but I can't control how you choose to feel or interact with others.  I do sincerely hope you feel better and wish you all the best :)

I admit the sprain system is a pain right now, I end up leaving a lot of gear behind and I do my best to keep some reserve in carrying capacity, Well fed bonus is very useful right now...
But I get that this is probably just temporary issue and that they will fix it.

Found 2 revolvers till now, and very interestingly - the 2nd one that I found was already loaded. Had 3 rounds in it. Which is wonderful - always found this "video game logic" of finding empty weapons and having to find ammo for them to be immersion breaking and lame. Now, you can find both unloaded and loaded weapons, it seems. This makes the Revolver all the more useful if you are in desperate need of ready-to-use defensive weapon. The ammo doesnt seem to be so rare, either, which is great. At least it wont be so hard to level it up to level 5.

Birch Bark tea is amazing. It is just right... not terribly powerful and not completely useless as a medical item... even though I would probably love it regardless, only for the warming up bonus... it is simply great!

Go! energy drink is also great addition! Although so far I have only seen one... it has already saved my life, was able to run down to Hat creek from Low Blind before dying from freezing when a blizzard showed up.

@Mroz4k I can't wait to play later and have this Birch Bark Tea, and this Energy Drink when I find them!!! I have the Revolver Bullets so far, but I do not have the Revolver heh. So I will find this Revolver! YES! I posted on my Profile my progress on my new Save, later I will update it. Here's to hoping I find that Gun!

PS. Hinterland at first the Vision Distortion was hard for me, I felt confused but then I realized I am starting to LOVE this realism! so I have changed my mind on the Vision Distortion so please do NOT remove this! ❤️ Thank you for adding the Go Energy Drink! the Birch Bark Tea (and Birch is my favorite Tree btw!) ! the Revolver! The new Pain and Vision Distortion Mechanics! and the Cloth Hand and Head Wraps!!! :D I appreciate ALL that ya'll do!

Lastly, sorry I freaked out during the crashing... it was only because TLD is my FAVORITE GAME! ❤️❤️❤️

100% agree, all of the additions by and large really improve the depth of the game for me.  Looking forward to what else is in store for us down the road.  :)
