Payne87
Just a suggestion/question.. As this is winter game, I think many of us players likes to play this game during the winter. its more "realistic" to play it when there's actually snow outside. Thats my opinion. Its that kind of game. So I was wondering, why not make some kind of "summer DLC/patch" or something like that. It would still be difficult to survive in that wilderness. Maybe more animals and less cold :=) Something like that, idk :=) Otherwise, this game is very good.
Looper
Actually, asked and answered by Ralph. Requires almost making a new game.
JErosion
although you can get Green Hell, its survival in the Amazon rainforest so instead of dying from the cold and wolves your dying from not being able to find potable water and jaguars... hozz1235
Yeah, I thought having TLD based in an arid environment would be cool. Similar, but a whole new set of challenges.
Pillock
There's a great book (great, if somewhat harrowing) by the Spanish author Jesús Carrasco about a teenaged boy surviving in the heat and drought of the central Spanish plains during the early 20th century, which constantly made me think of a kind of reverse TLD-type game experience while reading it. I think the English version is called Out In The Open. Very highly recommended.

Ape88
I always took The Long Dark to mean a time without electricity. Just think of how everything going on in the game could be solved if electricity was working. That being said, there is an additional level of urgency with every aspect of survival currently because of how cold it is.
deathbydanish
I think it would mess with the story of the game, if we were to assume that geomagnetic incident were to be so massive as to affect the entire planet, I don't know that a summer would be possible in that scenario. Seshins
They had an aspiration on the roadmap from last year to have a seasonal transition throughout a year in-game (which i personally was looking forward too) but Ralph mentioned in one of the Milton Mailbags that it would essentially require a full re-design, though IIRC he did mention it could be something they look into for their next game.
