Summer style the Long Dark?

Just a suggestion/question..

As this is winter game, I think many of us players likes to play this game during the winter. its more "realistic" to play it when there's actually snow outside. Thats my opinion. Its that kind of game.

So I was wondering, why not make some kind of "summer DLC/patch" or something like that. It would still be difficult to survive in that wilderness. Maybe more animals and less cold :=)

Something like that, idk :=)

Otherwise, this game is very good.

There's a great book (great, if somewhat harrowing) by the Spanish author Jesús Carrasco about a teenaged boy surviving in the heat and drought of the central Spanish plains during the early 20th century, which constantly made me think of a kind of reverse TLD-type game experience while reading it.

I think the English version is called Out In The Open. Very highly recommended.

I always took The Long Dark to mean a time without electricity. Just think of how everything going on in the game could be solved if electricity was working.

That being said, there is an additional level of urgency with every aspect of survival currently because of how cold it is.

They had an aspiration on the roadmap from last year to have a seasonal transition throughout a year in-game (which i personally was looking forward too) but Ralph mentioned in one of the Milton Mailbags that it would essentially require a full re-design, though IIRC he did mention it could be something they look into for their next game.
