Red bar over fatigue

A redbar appeared over my fatigue and after a bit red slowly started creeping into the my fatigue. Never seen this before, any help?

Are the food or thirst icons red?  If so, that will begin to limit how much fatigue you can gain back.  If that's the case, eat and/or drink and the red bar will eventually go away.

If you starve for 3 days in a row the red minus sign will show up above the icon, and your maximum cap for fatigue will be reduced. Meaning you will not be able to recover to "fully rested" until you keep your character from starving for a bit. I think (not sure though) that the rate at which you become tired/exhausted increases while the debuff is in place. Sorry, I forget how long it takes to lose the cap and reduce the rate of tiring, since I only tested it once in Stalker, ages ago, and have avoided using the starvation technique whenever possible.

I starve all the time in a simil-loper custom sandbox, and it happened to me only once. Eating a bit more than 600 calories and sleeping it off for 10 hours made it go away.
