norgust
Replace the recycle menu with a recycle button in the inventory. This is far more convenient as you don't need to switch back and forward anymore.
elloco999
Not a bad idea, but the harvest menu also tells me what I will get when I harvest an item. That's information I like to have, so that would need to be included in the inventory screen.
Burning Bridges
And if you hit it by accident? The current solution is better. It has the advantage that you know when you are harvesting, and still people harvest their finest equipment by accident, and there many complaints are made about that. Can you imagine what happens when that becomes integrated into the main UI?
norgust
Another option/suggestion: make the recycle-menu more similar to the inventory -> add filter/sort functionality
AstroFisher
I'll be adding this here since it maybe more relevant with a recycle button. Considering how many different food items in the game that are packaged in tin cans, I would think it would be great if we could have the ability to recycle empty containers of lets say tin of coffee, condensed milk, pork and beans etc. and get scrap metal out of it. Or a different type of scrap metal since not all metals are made alike, so at least you could use metal from tin cans to make fishing hooks and other items that need metal but not necessarily the same metal you use to repair a rifle or a hatchet. Goes the same for any other packaging, if you could recycle into something useful such as tinder plugs from salty cracker's cardboard packaging. The details I leave to the developers, otherwise you get the point. My first post, so thanks for considering!
