Perhaps Mackenzie only uses 1 gallon milk jugs to store unsafe water. Do they have gallon jugs in Canada? Or are they liter based?

The milk here in Canada is usually sold as a trio of one and one third litre bags in a bag.

Then we generally use a container to hold the bag.
