Still too many wolves?

I appreciate the hot fix to deal with the ratio of wolves. But, am I the only one thinking there are still way too many wolves? In the "town" of Coastal Highway they're absolutely rampant. You can't move from house to house without first looking all over to see if fluffy is there. These wolves are just as frequent- and dare I say annoying as the zombies in DayZ.

I love this game so much it's a pain to see it get frustrating like this.
