Give it time, they are likely still evening out kinks that have surfaced with the new update.

There will be no modding API until someone HLS says so. And dont start counting on it too soon.

At this point in time it is very unlikely that it's going to happen. Reason: the game is largely just beginning to take shape, it is THEIR baby and why should they let someone take it from them, before it is even half finished? I actually find this request is a little impolite, we got the 2nd map from them and all we want is access to their software API to start building our own silly maps with zombies?

I agree with Burning bridges, why take a game that is still in alpha and let other people tinker with it, it will ruin the aspect of the game, and Nulyu think about the excitement of getting that new map and exploring it. With mods i think that will take away the awe and wonder that makes the game great.

To be fair, they have a point. Plus I'd rather see what Hinterland Studios comes up with than 3rd party developed maps

before the game goes full release. Remember, this is the alpha build, we haven't seen the full release yet

If there is ever going to be a modding API, it will be at the time the full game is released at the earliest, probably a lot later. And as far as I know, modding support is not something the devs have actually promised us already, so it may never come.
