Appsro
Hello All. My name is Appsro and I'm part of a youtube channel called "Neebs Gaming". I've played The Long Dark, have fallen in love with the game and want to do a playthrough on our channel. However the way we do playthroughs is a bit different. We like to use lots a music and establishing shots to make it feel like your watching a show rather than just a standard playthrough. So my question is, is there a way to "break" the camera off of the main character to get shots of the environment? Also the ability to change time of day would be handy. If you're unsure what I mean, go to our channel and watch a Subnautica video to observe how we use establishing shots. If anyone from the community or dev team can help it would be much appreciated. Again, I think this game is amazing and would love to bring it to our audience. Also if this is the wrong place to ask, kindly point me in the right direction. Cheers n Kisses! -Jon (Appsro)
PlayerM32
Hey appsro unfortunately I’m not aware of any way to break the camera, you might want to try looking into mods. Also love battlefield friends (BFF) big fan thanks.
selfless
Mods are frowned upon by Hinterland. They are however very available. To discuss them however requires going to a site not hosted by Hinterland. Try Reddit.
