Trying to save my last bullet into I get more for my rifle I switched to using my flare gun while playing and shot a wolf just as it start to charge me...

Now the wolf is running around Mystery Lake glowing red like a beautiful self-propelling flare latern. Is it going to die eventually or am I going to have to shoot it again?
