stray_cur
Wouldn't it allow for more emotive (&realistic) gameplay if you could set it to something like "Mostly Passive". (I'm thinking 95% run away, 5% aggressive) As is, wolves are either simply annoying (especially annoying to die from) or completely meaningless. Nothing in between. Encountering a wolf should be a more nuanced thing, not this unnatural binary the game currently offers. (One might think the 'wolf fear' adjuster pertains to this, but strangely, it doesn't - it's just to do with how often already agro wolves will run away from torches and flares)
sierra 117
Yeah I agree with this . I love the new custom options and really can' wait for another interloper run. Without cabin fever (it' the one thing I found to be immersion breaking as it forced me to get o.to some crazy routines Ie. Cooking and repairing outside when I have a perfectly warm cabin right beside me.) Anyway my main point is I'd like to have an option for aggression level of each animal. I've always been a stalker/ interloper player so I am used to lots of aggressive wolves. However I once tied out pilgrim mode just to see what it was like with no aggressive wildlife. And i must say apart from way too much loot (imo). I found the wolf hunti.g to be far more of a challenge and made it feel more of an achievement when you finally got he Wolfskin coat. Rather than the pelts and/or food coming to you making it easier. Therefore in addition to turning off cabin fever it would make the perfect game for me if I could have aggressive moose and bears but non aggressive/ rarely aggressive wolves. What do you folks think ?would anyone else be interested In this/ worth hinterlands time to implement?
stray_cur
zactly - would add depth to both hunting and being hunted. Getting into individual wildlife settings, sure, we'd all have preferences with that too, but I'd be happy enough if we could just get something between 100% passive and 100% aggressive for wildlife in general. (we're really just talking about bears and wolves anyway -- even though -semi-irrelevant sidenote- in actuality deer are more often aggressive toward people than wolves are). I'm playing Pilgrim mostly because of the annoying wolves and I love it that they made Pilgrim more exiting with the moose! I wish there was a modus between Pilgrim and Voyager. A FEW aggressive wolves in Pilgrim would spice things up a bit. I don't like to play custom mode because I like to earn the badges on Steam.
