Help, I'm new to the Long Dark... need advice.

So I just registered. I plan on getting this game soon. Here's my take...

I backed the game back in like late 2014 or so. It was Early Access back then and I paid 10.00 for it. I played maybe 10 hours on it, and I liked it... but just got busy and feel out of favor overall. I mainly stopped playing because my laptop could barely run it. I was getting like 20-25 FPS at minimal settings. So I do own the game via Steam, but cannot play it because my laptop has a stupid built in Intel card. Which can't be upgraded. Other than games, my laptop is powerful in processing for programs... just has a weak graphics card.

I got a PS4 2 years ago, and can't really justify getting a new laptop over a 10 dollar game I really want to get into.... but I was happy to see that it was released on PS4 in August. I've not played the game in any way since like Jan of 2015. Almost 3 full years.

(I did try it out on Steam again, and I was getting like 10-14 FPS on minimal settings since the game has been upgraded and completed. I fooled around in Story Mode for like 10 minutes and it was unplayable at that framerate lol)

So, I have watched a couple short review videos for the PS4 Version, and I know the game is great, but how does it perform on PS4 compared to Steam version on PC?

I understand it will always be a better performance on a nice computer compared to a console, but PS4 is a powerful system. I mean it isn't a joke really. It has some power in it. My main concern is to spend 23 dollars on the sale price on this game (I don't even care about the 10 bucks from early access as I was glad to support a up and coming game.) and then the game crash a lot like I've been hearing.

It seems that is crashes a lot on PS4. Anyone's thoughts? Thanks!

I'd expect it's possible to transfer the license to your PS4. Not sure how you might go about doing that... maybe consider contacting Hinterland Support to ask about that?

That would be great. I hope that could happen. I mean, I was a believer in the game early on. It would be nice to be able to use that purchase on console, but something tells me ... that isn't going to happen.
