Moose spawn rates/custom difficulty

Question, what are the exact spawn rates for each setting in the toolbox? I.E. Low = x amount of moose per map, medium, etc etc. Currently have all animals set to Low, and I've seen plenty of bears, deer, wolves, but no moose. I'm about 20 days in, explored most of Milton, Broken Railroad, Forlorn Muskeg, Mystery Lake, Coastal Highway and Pleasant Valley. I've seen the scarred trees, but no moose. A bug perhaps?

Moose is just a rare animal.

Rare indeed and quite wary, even in ANWR.  I remember a couple of the families on the 'Last Alaskans' didn't get a moose one season and it made for a much tougher Winter.  Have yet to see any markings but am keeping a sharp eye out.

I think it's bugged imo.... Someone told me that on low setting they saw 5 in ML but on Very High they saw none...

Finally found me a moose!  I agree though, seems like something is bugged, with everything set to low I haven't seen a bear spawn area without a bear.

Now for a real dilemma, what do I make with the hide??

Make the cloak, it’s awesome (from what I’ve heard). What hunting strategy did you use?

He was hanging out near a hillside/peak, so I climbed up on a handy rock ledge, built a fire and waited for him to wander over. Shot #4 dropped him.
