Gun Ammunitions

Good Afternoon all, I started a new game in ML started venturing all around, after having found a gun I was happy. I know ammunition are rare and scarce.  But is there an area where the probability of finding some is better. So far in the coastal highway I found a box + 3.

This differs each game but I would highly recommend to look at the Trapper's Homestead in Mystery Lake.
Most of my ammunition is found as individual bullets laying around in houses, under beds, but also outside between railroads.

Looking around under stuff for stray bullets is definitely key. As for places that TEND to have a bunch of ammo - Timberwolf Mountain summit; Pleasant Valley Radio Tower; Trapper's Cabin; Hunter's Lodge. On Stalker, those places will usually have at least 5 bullets. The summit can be more like 10-20.

@cullam Thanks for the tip, I'm currently in TWM exploring and waiting for a good day to go and climb to the submit. 

I found a few, it seems a box of ammo often span (stalker) in the DAM bathroom. awkward. 

I forgot about the tower in PV. But I'm getting better with the bow / arrow.

The tower in PV is excellent, in general. It's your best shot at finding combat pants (the best pants in the game, in my opinion), and there's often some sort of boots, some food, some tools. Decent chance of a rifle.
