Tweaking Wildlife

Here are a few suggestions i feel would benefit the wildlife experience in TLD

- Rabbits:  They should have rabbit holes to run and hide into.  And that's about as realistic as it can be, rabbits are too easy now with the incorporation of stones and with a few shots you can just try over and over again. Why not have the rabbits scurry to their holes, hide for an hour and then pop out when the coast is clear? This will make snares more viable than they are now. And also more rewarding if you can sneak up and hit that rabbit with the rock.

-Fishing: Need bait/lures.. heck have the option of crafting metal lures! all the parts area already in the game, just add it to the crafting menu! You can forage for different baits as well. Would make Fishing allot more interesting!

- Bears/Wolves: This is more so for stalker and interloper.  Always see players dropping food outside on the floor to preserve them. This should attract bears and even wolves scavenging around!! Go ahead and leave a piece of meat outside your shelter and have a surprise munching on your food.

Your first suggestion, rabbit holes, looks good. Rabbits, at the moment, are just to easy to hunt. The issue is that, currently, the world is rather big and it could take quite a lot of work to make this work; however, it looks to me like it will add a lot to the current gameplay.

Your second suggestion isn't new an has already been discussed in at least one other previous thread:

It seems like a good idea but it would require the addition of quite a lot of items and it wouldn't really add much to the current game as it is. I'm not saying that this suggestion is a bad one but the amount of work compared to how much the game will be improved has to be taken into account. If the game was more focused on fishing, things would be different, but alas...

Your last suggestion has again, already been suggested in the past:

What would it take to implement this? You would need to be able to craft a storage container that can keep animals away. They added the snow shelter a little more than a year ago so I don't think that this would be too much to ask. But then again, it doesn't add much into the game so I wouldn't expect much regarding this.

You wouldn't even need to craft a container if all we could do is pick one up and move it outside... it's not THAT hard.

In real life it isn't. But this is a game. Everything has to be programmed in. Depending on the interface that the developers make in order to implement this, a new 3D model might need to be made...

Not really... all they need to do is give us the option to pick up a container like how we pick up rabbits.

I'm not sure I understand. Dead rabbits are just like any other item. You can pick them up, they appear in your inventory, and you can drop them.

That's not really something that can be done with containers IMO, at least not with the current mechanics. How much would they weigh? Can they be picked up if they have something in them? If so, it should affect how much they weigh. Can you put containers inside of other containers? If so, would you be able to put a container into another container and then pick up that container, and repeat the process indefinitely? How separate the action of opening the container from the action of picking up the container? Would that unnecessarily complicate the current gameplay? There are probably other problems with this that I wasn't able to spot.
