lantern fuel & matches

I think it would be swell that if you had a jerry can that is not full, and you go and cook some fish with it in your inventory, that you can put the lamp oil into the jerry can.

mainly so i dont have a half full jerry can with 6 little bottles of lamp oil.  also let us transfer little bottles into the jerry can.

you could also do the same principle with matches...

I thought that was how it worked already?  Maybe I'm wrong.  I'm pretty sure you can collect the leftover oil from a harvested lantern into a jerry can, at least.

But, yeah, I'm for anything that makes inventory management easier.  That's one of the more irritating parts of the game.

The issue with matches is that they have different durabilities, And different durabilities on them make sense because struggles with wildlife can destroy them by random. Besides, I actually think it is not a bad thing that you cant put matches together, because if all of them were in a huge pile of 500 matches, it would be a pain, trying to take out a few every time you go out for an adventure. I recommend simply using up the pieces that have 12 pieces off, and try to save your "sets" that get more. If you loot most of the map, you will sometimes have 50 pieces of matches that have the durability of 93%, and I think that is a nice number to store this way.

This is how it already works. If you cook fish and have the half-empty jerry can in your inventory, the newly acquired lantern fuel will go into the jerry can by default. Also, if you have lantern fuel bottle which has yellow durability in your inventory, and do the same, it will also go into this little lantern bottle instead of creating new one.
