I'm in Forlorn Muskeg and I forgot my bedroll. Besides the old homestead with a bed, I should be able to make a temporary bedding. Very frustrating that I've spent 3 hours real time just trying to get out.

There should be one bedroll in the crashed train arena in Wintermute.

Yes it is, inside one of the red derailed train wagons, there is a bedroll and we can make fire in a old oil drum inside the wagon as well, there is also a backpack and a container, so you can store some things.

Making bedding like in the cave in the beginning of Episode 1 would be amazing.

If you have the cloth, you should be able to build a snow shelter (but I never got far into the story mode so I am not at the moment sure if that option is available in the story, but it's what I would do in Survival mode.) You can sleep in those if you get inside of it and use the wheel to open up "campcraft", and picking the sleep option there.

If you cant build that, then there is no way to sleep outside on Forlorn Muskeg then in the bed at the Homestead, or getting the bedroll in the poacher´s camp like others suggested.

Only another way to sleep outside is to get into a car, but there are none on FM.

You have to get Jeremiahs trust high enough to make him tell you how to make a snow shelter. But as I said they put a bedroll in FM in wintermute so no need for that

Well, the question was "how to sleep outside without a bedroll" not where the find one, albeit it solves the issue. I mentioned the only way its possible to sleep without a bedroll outside - in a snow shelter.

Thanks for the tips. I'll look for the bedroll in the traincar. I haven't gotten trust high enough yet to learn the snow shelter, but good to know that it will allow me to make beds.

Theres no cars in forlorn muskeg, but if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to rest and the nearest bed is too far. A short nap in a vehicle could save you. Just make sure you dont freeze in there... theyre super cold without a bearskin bedroll.
