This has been a common complaint recently, reported by a number of people. It spawns just out of reach..

I'd suggest submitting a bug report.

You can reach it, it just takes A LOT of maneuvering around. Took me a long time to get it the first time.

In previous game version the bed was thinner, and the box was easy to reach. Now not so much. I believe it is possible to grab it as well, as I have done so in the past, but it takes a lot of patience. Bug report on this would be a good idea, I think.
