Saved games disappear

Hi,

I've experienced problems with saved games; yesterday, I launched Long Dark to get back to my previous game - and saw that there was a save from previous Stalker game although I'm sure I died? Never mind, I went back to my current Interloper game, played a bit and closed the game normally. Now, the Interloper game I played last is gone?? The earlier  Stalker save is still there.

Does it make any difference for Long Dark & saves, if the game is launched from Steam or by directly running tld.x86_64? I've done both rather randomly and can't say when I did it which way.

How should I back up my save games? Just copy everything in /home/user/.local/share/Hinterland/TheLongDark? Something else?
