Different environment?

Hello all,

I've been playing the alpha since it was released on Steam (just sorta stumbled upon a gameplay video and immediately took massive interest) and I'm absolutely in love with this game. I don't have much time on it (about 17 hrs) but it's one of the most beautiful games I've played in quite a while. Regardless, I'm sure we've all seen the selection when we go into the Sandbox mode after we pick our character. We know that there will be at least two maps to choose from in the coming days (or months). I'm just curious, has anyone said when that will be? Or when the story mode will be activated?

I'm not being pushy or anything of the sort- I try to frequent the forums as much as I can to avoid asking questions that have already been answered, but I haven't seen really anything related to this question. Very VERY excited to see the improvements and additions in the coming months!

The story mode will be activated when the game is released in full. Not sure what the planned release date is at the moment. I think the same is true for extra locations for the sandbox, although I haven't read anything official about that.

People are engaged and having enough fun in the current sandbox that this isn't an issue yet.
