Why have the moose been delayed? 

Is there any hope that moose will arrive for the story in August?

Is the moose scared of Astrid, and Will with a spear.

 

Maybe stage fright?

Or is there a new animal interaction mechanic being developed and the programming is not playing nice?

Moose have probably been pushed back because they are focusing on the AI of all of the animals currently in the game, spare crows.
