Although it's more of a modern look, I feel like the entire Story Mode implementation will mean this game will transition from very gamey artsy graphics, to a way more newer, fresher and refined set of graphics.

 

Kind of like the entrance of the Carter Hydro Dam is supposed to be re-done in the upcoming patch, or when the ice is supposed to be re-done across all maps as well

Yes, I don't dislike what I've seen so far on the new graphics. My complaints are mostly about the hud etc. even if they're connected.

EDIT: Not to mention the fact that we had to wait for a countdown just to tell us the bad news. Sure, Story Mode is nice, but I'm a Hardcore Survivor/Sandbox Mode fan.

If you can't still read those clearly stated quotes, I think you got a problem.

I'd like to add that Sandbox mode wasn't even intended to be included in the 1.0 release. So the so called fact isn't even true. Sandbox mode was literally a way to test new functions for the full game. It became so popular that they decided to keep it.
So I'm happy to see it will be included and updated.
