tentacles
Usually, while playing EA games, I take notes of things I notice that could be improved. My TLD list seems to get longer and longer, which is a good thing because I really like the game. Anyways, here are a couple of minor suggestions: (1) Bow, progress bar When I draw an arrow with my bow, I don't exactly know at what point I can shoot it. The problem with this is that, if I release the left mouse button too soon, the process is cancelled. This has left me quite a few times with my pants down while being charged by a wolf. It might be better to either allow to shoot the arrow with less force, or display a progress bar close to the crosshairs that tells the player how long he needs to wait before he can take the shot. The progress bar should of course disappear as soon as you can shoot the arrow. (2) Survival Panel (SP), Inventory weight stats I regularly check my SP to see how my thirst and hunger bars are doing. What could be useful to add would be an inventory summary; e.g. "Backpack - 24.45 / 25.00 kg". To check that bit of info, I currently have to open my inventory, take a quick peek at the values and then manually close the inventory again. I usually do this while gathering fuel for fires. (3) First Aid, Afflictions interface I find it a bit irritating that you can only open this interface when you have any condition that needs treatment. It would be nice if you could open the interface even if you have no such condition. The main reason for this is that it would allow you to easily check which medical items you currently have. (3.1) First Aid, "First Aid Kit" label Also, the "First Aid Kit" label inside this interface is a bit ill chosen. To my knowledge, there is no "Health kit" in the game. Better label it as "First Aid Items" or something similar. (4) Bedroll condition I'd like to be able to see in the "Sleep" / "Pass Time" bedroll interface what condition a bedroll has. The condition value that is visible inside these interfaces seems to be the character's condition. In order to check the bedroll's condition, you have to pick it up, check the condition inside your inventory and then place it back to the ground. (5) Camp Fire, "Destroy" action What I have noticed is that camp fires do not seem to de-spawn; meaning that you will probably be able to jump from one camp fire to another in a long-running game. Or does it just take incredibly long for them to de-spawn? It would be nice if a player could trigger a "Destroy" action to remove it once a camp fire is burned out and is no longer needed. Do you not re-light the camp fire? Used to be you could not but with one recent patch you can do so now so one does not need a new spot for each fire. I do re-light camp fires, but not all of them: In the beginning of a game, I sometimes need to place a camp fire next to a carcass, or otherwise I'll start to freeze while harvesting the remains. And these are the camp fires I'd like to get rid of.
AZHockeyNut
Ahh! Well I would love to have a % chance that the campfire when destroyed might produce a few usable sticks or pieces of tinder that could be recycled into another fire in the future perhaps. Often times when coming upon a spot where someone has put out a camp fire there are remnants that could be reused as fuel (hence the ability to relight them of course, but, a relit one should burn longer than a fresh stick fire or a book fire given a % chance or something. In my worthless opinion of course.

I go around and pick up whatever wood other people left behind to use for myself!
AZHockeyNut
@Timber Wolf precisely where my idea comes from....I'm a cheap bastard....
