This is a game of dying.

I think it could be cool when you died, the camera went to 3rd person and showed your corpse in the snow or where you died.

Sounds like you have that backwards; this is a game of living. Only thing is, right now, living is pretty hard because we are in alpha and not everything is fleshed out.

The out of body experience thing would be sort of cool, I guess, but death in the real world, especially trying to survive in the wilderness, is far less poetic. It can be sudden or dragged out over the course of hours or days, and all too often it is violent. I think dark screen, "You died from X and lived for X amount of time" is much more than most people get.
