Bad Rope Placement

Greetings!  I'm playing Interloper and this location is on Timberwolf outside of the ice cave with the three entrances.  The rope leads up to Deer Clearing.  I placed it from the top, came down and cannot get to it to climb back up.  The problem is that it is the rope from the other access point to the Deer Clearing which I took after I climbed up.  I can't think of any way back up there and I cannot get close enough to that rope to climb back up.  I have not had this problem before.

Keep up the good work!  I love this game and the Interloper difficulty.  It made Long Dark a challenge for me again.
