This is pretty straightforward, if your clothing items drop to 0% durability and you repair and wear them, they will regain their temperature bonuses but won't suffer any subsequent decay. Still present in .127

We could assume it's an intended feature since your outfit has become so patched up with cloth pieces it's essentially unbreakable, but it completely removes the entire cloth decay-repair mechanics. I love this bug too, but would rather have a proper survival experience then cope with temptation to resort to glitched gear

The same goes for a hachet. I repaired one to 50% condition after ruining, it was still ruined and giving the bonus foraging wood but never decayed.
