Hatchet/knife/sewing needle vs Wolf

Okay I was joking about the sewing needle. But only just.

Cause it would be better than slapping up a wolf in the face as he mauls me. Sure would be nice to use my hatchet and turn him into kindling.

I've been told this is already in the works, to use melee items to defend yourself against wolf attacks. Don't worry, the Devs have your back.

It is in the works... I'm just hoping there's some realism to it.

It's entirely unrealistic that you would dig into you backback to get a weapon while fighting off a wolf. However, if you have it equipped in a dangerous area, that's a bit of reward for proper planning on your part.

If that's the case, I'm 100% for it.
