should the axe/hatchet or crow bar be equitable as a weapon

Personally i think the hatchet, hunting knife or even crowbar should be equitable as weapons. They could be used as defensive weapons to ward off wolves or for the brave kill wolves. Also they could be used to kill a rabbit or deer if you corner it or are fast enough.

I think it should be a thing. Each of those tools should be usable as a weapon, allowing player to take one swing at charging animal. Depending both on player precision(pool comes to mind, you aim, then you measure your swing, then you measure distance and then you need animal in precisely right spot to deliver perfect blow) and luck it could result in one of 2 outcomes, player either strike predator or miss. If player performs successful strike, then it may cause various conditions, like direct damage, stun or even kill it outright with some luck(splitting wolf head open with good aimed hit with crowbar). If player misses, then he loses balance and is disabled for 2 seconds when animal attacks. He could even drop his weapon.

Different weapons could have various stats in regards on this attack. Like knifes would be close range, fast, high "crit rate"(cut the jugular), but having low power(how much extra damage player can get if he gets a good swing) and damage. While crowbar, while slow and blunt, would have high parameters of power and damage.

But only after they fix deer/rabbit behavioral scripts, so it wont run into player as if hes not there.
