I was over by the hunting cabin. I saw a deer and shot at it. I missed and the deer started running. I followed it, the deer ran up a hill and got stuck on a log. I ran up to the stuck deer and, at point blank range, fired twice. Nothing happened to the deer.

This in an amazing beautiful game and I cannot wait for more content.

PC, Windows 7, Steam, has only happened once (although very frustrating because of the waste of ammo)

Next time please take a screenshot using F8 which will bring up the in-world co-ordinates on the screenshot, because without knowing where the deer was stuck, exactly, we haven't much of a chance to find the meshing/collision problem.
