Temperature not in concordence with weather circumstance

So temperature dynamic is pretty straightforward. As the day progressess, it gradually gets warmer. Last five hours or so are the warmest, then the temperature declines again getting to it's lowest point at about daybreak.

Blizzards drop the temperature with several tens of degrees, fogs mellow the temperature out somewhat, making it warmer.

However, regular wind and snow don't seem to affect temperature at all, which leads to a dissonance between visual/audible cues and what's actually going on.

For instance, the other day I'm travelling to a hunting blind, I notice the weather chance for the worse; I'm kind of thinking this might turn into a blizzard, so I check the blind, only to be met with an opportunity: a wolf catching a deer nearby.

I scare off the wolf, check the weather again (still getting worse, but manageable), I decide to skin the dear for it's hide and guts, check weather again - and decide it's not worth the risk, I don't like where this is going. Wind has been picking up more and more, it's started to snow more fiercely.

So I head back, and I check the temperature. WTF? It's actually warmer than when the sun was still out a couple of hours ago. This doesn't seem right. Just look at the weather. (see pic below)

Now I am wearing some decent clothing (premium winter coat, deerskin boots, rabbit skin mitts, cargo pants) but that still doesn't explain why it can be warmer in weather that's actually worse later in the day.

So you've got this brilliant sound design in concordence with the visuals. It really makes me shiver and feel I need to get indoors, and then when I check I'm actually perfectly warm.

Talk about breaking immersion...

I dont really see the problem. Cloudy days do tend to be warmer in the winter. And wind is not really an indicator of ambient temperature(unless current is strong and persistent enough to move large masses of air vertically over large distances over short period of time).

Sunny days, on the other hand, are usually a lot colder. Clouds act like sort of blanket, preventing descencion of cold air(and hot air from ascending) from upper atmosphere. Also, due to snow, sun rays are being deflected from the surface, preventing it from being heating up to a sufficient level.

The problem is not with the clouds. I know clouds act like a blanket.

However, if I can hear the wind picking up to the point where I'm getting shivers behind my computer, and I can see the weather turning nasty, I expect the temperature to drop, not rise.
