Gradientpixel
Hey everyone! First off I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoy The Long Dark and what it presents as a game. I feel there needs to be more just like this! That being said, I am not sure if this has been mentioned previously in the forums but I would love to see Hinterland develop new "series" later to maybe expand the story to a wider region. To be more specific, where the survivor (say in part two) experience the Appalachians and travels south to experience a warmer challenge in survival. Then maybe later experience desert survival and so forth. Granted I know the story is not released yet and this is a huge long term feature but in my personal opinion would provide the ability to expand the experience, different survival skills, more games to release, and if the story is planned to continue it would allow the person playing the game to get a more personal / realistic feel of this geomagnetic mystery storm. Even if the main character in the story of this first development dies, the perspective could be viewed from different individuals around the globe where an extreme climate exhists. In conclusion, I love this game and feel it is very rare to see a game like this where survival is portrayed beautifully yet unforgiving as true nature is. It provides one to think in the mindset and provides some education in the area as well. Great job so far Hinterland!!!

Wastelander
I did some modding for Morrowind back in the day and some mapping for RTS games such as Empire Earth, Age of Empires 2 and so on. Judging from what I see in the game, the maps are more or less a heightmap with objects placed on top of it using a simple, yet powerful construction-set system. Therefore, even adding entirely new maps should be relatively simple for modders. What I'm trying to say here is: I do agree with your idea, even if Hinterland doesn't do it, the modding community most likely will.
