Bear skin bedroll ruined glitch

Hello every body, My 200 day stalker run ended the other day and I can only come to the conclusion that a bug killed me :(.

Version - v.347 or 348 unsure as I was playing on 06/24

Bug - placed bear skin bedroll ruined after bear attack

Location - Mystery lake at the last fishing hut next to the bear spawn.

What happened - I went to hunt a bear on the lake. Took all my supplies needed to cook all the bear meat to the fishing hut. Placed bedroll in the fishing hut in the sleeping position. Dropped all water and wood on the floor. Went 30 yards from the hut and took my first shot at the bear then a second shot and finally a 3rd shot. The bear did not care that I shot it 3 times and mauled me down to 6%. Stumbled back to my little fishing hut to save my self. Clicked on the bedroll and it said it was ruined. All my clothes had been taken down to 10 condition. For some reason the bear decided to stand out side the hut for a few minutes preventing me from getting to a warm bed. Hypothermia killed me. Gutted.

Did the damage from the bear attack also affect my bedroll on the floor some distance away? Has any body seen this before?

I did try to search the forum about it and found nothing. Apologies if this is an old bug.

I've had (and reported) the same problem in the experimental branch built. So I would very much welcome a fix. :normal:

  • 2 weeks later...

Just happened to me today on PC v349, voyageur.  I had a normal bedroll in my pack, walked into the Fishing Hut closest to Fishing Camp pier in CH.  Within a minute my bedroll went from 65% to 0%.  It never left my pack.  Dunno if it's a factor but I had a wolf tracking me when I entered the hut, but we didn't enter combat or struggle at any point.
