I hate that the falling snow moves with the player

I can see the snow effects move in which ever direction I am moving and it bothers me.

The devs put in snow that falls statically in close proximity to the player when it's lightly snowing (this looks very nice and it does not move with the player), but when there's a flurry of snow, the snow falling in the background will move with your character, meaning it's merely a camera effect, and it's not actually manifested in the game world.  Even if you stand still and look around the snow will bend the laws of physics and dart up and around the sky as if gravity or wind does not apply.
