Ice Pick

Ice picks are a nearly essential tool for any ice climber. Not only do they keep you secure if you have a rope, but can be used by themselves if you are strong enough. My idea is that they could be used to climb up detain areas without a rope, but instead of a simple climbing animation, it would be similar to a wolf struggle, meaning you'd have to click a ton in order to ascend up areas, it would expend a lot of energy, but you could access areas that would require you to deploy a rope otherwise. My thought would be similar to that of the intro scene in modern warfare 2. I believe that this would be an excellent addition to the game for being both cinematic and useful. Also, I believe that ice picks would be a tool that would quickly break fishing holes, thus making the tool even more useful.  Here are the pros and cons.

Pros
You could now ascend areas without a climbing rope.
You could access fishing holes quicker than before.

Cons
Requires strenuous effort to use when climbing
More work for devs.
