Jason C Child
I was standing at the top of Signal Hill and looking out over the valley and really wishing I had a pair of binoculars.
Grimsley99
Agreed, It would be a good thing to have if you want to scout out an area or scavenge; or just seek out the beauty of the landscape!
Shadrach
Absolutely agree, and it's probably been suggest before as well There might be technical limitations why it would be hard to implement in the engine however, since game engines tend to reduce detail in areas you are not close to, but binocs would mean the area you're looking at would need to be drawn in more detail. Yeah, I had thought about the LOD issue when I was submitting the post http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/164966/how-to-make-fps-binoculars.html I'm not a Unity developer yet, but it looks at least feasible All in all this is the most amazing game I've played to-date. Not since I was 12-13 and became addicted to MUDs have I enjoyed gaming so much (and that was over 20 years ago)!
